This morning I popped online and was flooded with spring-ish posts about gorgeous dandelions and other plants. Spring time cheer oozed from my computer screen. "Hey, Walkerland" Are you excited for spring?", these posts inquired.
" Not particularly" I replied.
I quickly turned off Facebook scolding myself for having bothered to go there in the first place. I happily jumped over to steemit where the landscape is not taunting and cruel. I quickly fell into reading and catching up on the happenings of my friends.
Having the internet is a blessing out here on the homestead. Right now, in my life, it is impossible to imagine spring. We do get feverish and restless at times waiting for the snow to melt.
Which is a very long way away.
There is only winter as far as the eye can see. Actually, If you ever wanted to examine snow from close up while staying warm, our cabin is the place to be.
Nature has set up the ultimate snow viewing experience and you are welcome to come and partake (just bring cream and sugar pretty please).
I call this photo: Snow from the kitchen.
It's cold outside too. Tonight they are predicting -35C overnight. Risk of frostbite.
Probably not a night to go camping (or anywhere for that matter).
But this is what living in Canada is like.
This one is titled: Snow from the other kitchen window.
The snow is pretty, it's like snow art for your windows right? I wish I had one of those ultra macro lenses where I could capture the minute details of the snowflakes. I should dig out some magnifying tools and take a look because snow is quite amazing.
I call this photo: dining with snow.
And now that I have shared such an invigorating post about snow, I'll get back to work because I just got busted by my husband for being on steemit when I am supposed to be working. :)
Be well, be happy!
