I discuss my experience over the last few months operating a Securenode. Post migration from Vultr to Scaleway has had a few events which I discuss but overall a much more affordable platform.
Recent updates have been made to the Secure and Supernodes to penalize delayed block reporting which was a vector for a 51% attack. So good to see patches are being made for new issues we encounter.
Updating was made very easy by the Horizen team, I only needed to issue a few commands and it was all updated and good to go. Unlike most masternodes I run, as I usually have to tear down and rebuild when an update comes up.
