Horned Lizard & Spiky Brush • Combination Photography

I shot this little critter in the Mojave desert last week. He was very shy and well camouflaged in the spiky brush.

Can you make him out here?

It was hard to figure out what he was as he scampered about but when I went to edit my pictures on my computer I realized he was some sort of horned lizard missing a tail.

Can you still see him?

Without the tail, he also reminded me of "Baby Groot" from Guardian's Of The Galaxy 2. I was waiting for him to say, "I am Groot!"

Proof of desert!

My wife photographed me tracking "Baby Groot" up a sand dune.

I photographed the horned lizard with my Canon 5D camera and 70-200 mm lens. My wife photographed me with her Nikon D90.
