Well, no shock today. Wuheida was not beaten about and I'm sure connections will be pleased to have got such a solid run under her belt.
But we really need to be getting some wins on the board ...
2:30 York 3. High Jinx 3 pts @ 8-1 Hills, Bet365, Sky, BetVic, Boyles, Betway, Blacktype, Stan James
Ran over course & distance 2 months ago after 2 years off and gave some class animals at the top of their game a real race.
If you thought Wuheida's return today was decent and would please connections, then Jinx's 3rd place (by a neck and a neck) was astounding.
Not unreasonable to expect him to improve after that run either.
They will tell you he prefers soft ground, but here are the stats :
4 wins, 2 on good, 2 on good to soft.
Runs on soft = 10. Best result from those 10, that recent 3rd place.
8-1 is far too big.

4:35 Newmarket 7. The Tin Man 2.5 pts e/w @ 8-1 Paddy Power, Betfair
Yeah, I'm a little surprised to find myself opposing such a hot favourite too, but this price is way, way too big.
If it wasn't for the weight allowance for the younger horses, this would be a very big bet for us.
PS. If there's too much rain - this bet will be scrapped.
So maybe you'd like to wait until later to place the bet, or maybe you will chance placing the bet with a bookie that offers a cancel/cashout function.
3:50 Ascot
Ooooh, I think the market is wrong here. Mutakayyef (4-6) is favourite. Sovereign Debt (5-1) is next.
Last year they met over a mile (like today) and Mutakayyef won that by a length assistend by a 5lb advantage.
Here, that advantage will be 3 lb.
Consider Sovereign has won 3 on the bounce (4 from 6 and only narrowly beaten in the other 2) and the form horse at the bigger price is tempting.
(Mutakayyef has not won for over a year now)
It's very tight though.
