Looks a very decent price for what seems to be the best horse in the race.
What will the ground be like and how will he go on it - is a mystery.
2:10 Newbury 9. Stage Magic 10-11
Looked a sure-fire future winner in his debut race. But the form of that has not worked out well at all.
So now odds-on, on softer ground? No, thanks.
I would have said each of these two first horses should be around 2-1 to 5-2, so, if you're that way inclined, back the first and lay the second.
(Or don't bother doing anything, just sit back and watch the carnage - rather like we have done the last couple of days)
4:15 Nottingham 7. Sea Tide 9-4
Well, again, plenty of reasons to not bet here. The form of Sea Tide's two races last term looks decent enough.
(Particularly half a length behind Melodic Motion who has completed a hattrick this term).
Although she should be fine with course and going, the step up in distance and this being her first run of the season is enough reason to frown at the price of 9-4.
6:10 Newmarket 1. Quivery 4-5
A lot to like here. But has to carry a penalty on testing ground. Odd-on? Nah.
