In addition to a visit to the HortiContact trade show, foreign visitors can take part in a two-day program in which company visits and lectures are central. The first day of the program she introduces the cultivation of tomatoes, pot plants and roses. If all goes well, they have already gained a fair amount of information before they finally enter the exhibition floor.
HortiContact attracts more and more foreign visitors as a magnet. In addition to the exhibition visit, they also take the opportunity to take note of the latest developments in Dutch greenhouse horticulture. Especially for them a two-day program has been developed. The organization is in the hands of trade fair HortiContact, Uniglobe Westland Business Travel and In Greenhouses magazine.
On Tuesday, February 20, they visit the new World Horti Center in Honselersdijk and three horticultural companies. These are tomato company Lans in Maasdijk, pot plant company SV.CO and rose company Fransen Roses, both located in De Lier. The next day they attend three lectures at Wageningen University & Research, followed by a visit to the trade fair.
The HortiContact Tour is a program of excursions to horticultural companies and knowledge institutions, lectures and visits to the HortiContact trade fair. The participants are international horticultural entrepreneurs who want to take note of the latest developments in the Netherlands. Hosts Wilko Wisse, Aad Fransen and Jelle Strijbis show which developments took place in recent years at their companies and what opportunities they see for the future.
