Filling in Some Missing Blanks
PeakD, while similar as steempeak, some of us may not be as familiar with it, or be brand new to it. I myself had only started using steempeak about a month and a half before the switch over. So as I learn a few handy things I thought every now and then I would share them with you.
Favorite Topics and Favorite Users
This is the view of my primary site. As you can see I have started to add Favorite Topics (1) and Favorite Users (2).I use the Topics for a couple of things. Lets take the freewriters topic as an example. I used to follow the
Another example is peakd, I like it, but a lot of the people I follow do not make post specific to the topic of peakd such as how to post or question post of how does this work, nature. So instead of following a few people that may post in the topic every now and then, now I can go directly to the peakd post feed and get caught up on the goings on and improvements or help answer the few questions I can. PeakD is a small team.
So how to Add a Topic to the Favorite Topics list. I'll use my Alt account to demonstrate since it pretty much just sits there doing not much of anything. As you can see by the Highlighted boxes not much there compared to my primary account above.
To add Life as a favorite topic:
In the address bar type /created/life You can type what ever valid topic you want after the created/ for the topic, or just click on the grey topic box 1a:That will take you to the topic page, note the Outlined Star next to the topic name:
Clicking in the star will turn it blue and add it to your Favorite Topic list:
Adding a Favorite User
The process is pretty much the same as adding a favorite Topic. There are people I follow that I like to read on a daily basis, and there are also those that do not post very frequently and may get lost in the reblog stream and among all the other users I follow. So if I do not see anything from them for a few days I can easily go and see if I missed something from them.Another handy thing about the favorite users list is I think you are the only one that can see the list. I have tried to see my shadowmask list and I could not find the Favorite Users list, so you can shadow follow people if you want.
The Process
Step one go to the persons home blog page:Fill the Star in, (click it)
And there they are
Hive Block Chain is Alive and doing well after only two weeks. Tools are being built and imported on a seemingly daily basis, So I really do recommend building a Favorites Topics list. It has been a pretty fast ride so far, and I hope the train doesn't slow down to much.
