Kenyan Rugby 7s team (Shujaas) now will face Fiji in the finals of the Hong Kong Sevens. This is after they beat New Zealand 21-12 in the Semi Finals on Sunday 8th April, 2018. Collins Injera scored his 254th try on HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series against New Zealand. This earned Kenya a finals berth in Hong Kong Sevens.
Collins Injera struck a brace to hand Kenya 14-7 halftime lead. Willy Ambaka confirmed the win with a second half try. All the three conversions for Kenya were made by Sammy Oliech.
Amanaki Nicole got All Blacks rolling with an early try that was converted by Rocky Khan. Nareki could only alter the scoreline to 21-12 in favour of Shujaas.
Fiji won 26-24 against South Africa in the other Semis for the final's slot against Shujaas.
Kenya will be making for the Finals for the first time in a row after a similar feat in the Vancouver Sevens where they lost to Fiji 31-12 in the Final.
