September 2017, fresh out of my iceland adventure a friend told me that we are going for a hike and that i need to buy some extra gear for it... well thx to amazon i got my ferrata kit quite fast.
little i knew that the start of the ferrata was 400 meters up with a super steep approach, took us 2 h to reach the place in the first picture.
from this point to the next is a quite easy and enjoyable geared climb, reminded my of my childhood when i used to jump around the dirt hills.
after this point starts the most dreadful climb i did so far. i didn't eat much in the morning so i was low on energy and at some point i had to stop completely, due to my lack of climbing technique (overuse of arms instead of legs) i was exhausted. But when you are facing a vertical drop of several dozens of meters you don't have much option other than break those psychological and body limits and just keep climbing up. Was completely out of energy and unable to even walk on flat ground, we stopped to have lunch (and then i had to puke) well 10 min later i ate a bunch of stuff and took a 30min break on the grass and off we went back down hill to reach the car.
you newer know what's your limit till you face-plant it to them :D glad i have a strong head and just busted thru those limits xD
