Approaching Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H, PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda distributed 760 Eid packages and compensation for orphans from 15 neighborhood villages in Dewantara District, North Aceh (Indonesia), and from two villages in Lhokseumawe City.
The distribution of compensation and Eid packages were given symbolically to hundreds of orphans in Tambon Baroh Village and Keude Krueng Geukueh Village, Dewantara Aceh Utara District and Blang Naleung Mameh Village, Muara Satu District, Lhokseumawe City. The village is a fostered village of PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda.
"This is a form of the company's concern for orphans so that these children can still welcome Eid in a joyful and happy atmosphere. Apart from that, the company also hopes for prayers from them so that the company will continue to exist and operate smoothly," said Zulhadi in a written statement, Monday (17/4/2023).
This activity is routinely carried out every year. Previously, PIM held Safari Ramadan activities by distributing mosque carpets, the holy Qur'an, and also thousands of cardboard boxes of mineral water in a number of villages assisted by PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda.
Vice President of Social and Environmental Responsibility & Public Relations of PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda, Zulhadi, said that the assistance was a form of PT PIM's concern for the environmental community, especially orphans. The compensation and packages are aimed at providing happiness for orphans in the village of the company environment ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah.
Head of Keude Krueng Geukueh Village, Kamaruzzaman, said PT PIM's concern made the children happy and happy. He hopes that this compensation can strengthen the emotional connection between the company and the local community and become an integral part of it.
Kamaruzzaman also hopes that programs like this can continue to be implemented so that the local community feels the presence of PIM. "Hopefully in the future, there will be more company programs that can be enjoyed by the surrounding community and Aceh as a whole," he added.
The donation was greeted enthusiastically by hundreds of orphans. The happy faces of these children lit up when they were given compensation and Eid packages. An orphan from a neighboring village, Gian Dani, said he was happy and hoped that this activity would continue to be carried out regularly by PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda.
"Alhamdulillah, today we received compensation and Eid packages from PIM, hopefully in the future PIM will be even more successful," said Gian.[]
