Life is short, don't waste my time talking about the weather, I have bigger fish to Fry.
As our world seems to be ever-expanding entropically into the abyss of absurdity and clarity, I find myself lacking the willpower to circumvent (shout out to Arrested Development, RIP Jessica Walter) tough topics, such as human trafficking (nevermind animal trafficking, right?).
Human trafficking comes in all shapes and sizes. One might even consider the industrial prison system a form of human trafficking. Whether it's for sex, organs, or work, the human condition will suffer as long as we turn a blind eye to our fellow humans who may lack the voice, will, or ability to speak for themselves.
This is one of the primary reasons I co-Founded LERN Herstory. For I see that with privilege comes great responsiblity. That I wake up in the morning healthy and free, with a functional body, mind, and spirit, means to me that I have a responsiblity to speak up those less fortunate.
By creating LERN, we want to share our story and others' (should they be willing) in the hopes of spreading awareness of humanity's urgent need for connectivity and finding unity in our diversity now, more than ever. We want to create a strong, supportive network that is primarily focused on empowering females, but is inclusive of all as well.
Our hope is that you will raise your voice(s) with ours as we speak for those without a voice.
Thank you for tuning into this irregularly scheduled message.
