My fellow Steemians,
Today is a monumental day in the life and times of .
I’ve never been one to talk much about myself, but on this, the 16th day of May, in the year of our Lord 2018, and the year of our 1000, I am posting my 1,000th post on Steemit.
Hot diggity dog.
Yes indeed. 1,000 posts. One thousand. And all 1,000 of them are 1,000% perfect. I assume all of you already know this, because I assume that all of you have read each and every one of my posts with great care and thought. If you haven’t then why are you following me?
Also, my fellow Steemitters, especially those among you who are careful and thoughtful readers, the answer to that Question in your heads right now is yes. Yes, this is indeed the year of our 1000! For I am 1,000 years old. In fact, I am turning 1,000 on this very day. That is correct, today is my birthday, specifically my 1,000th.
But that is merely a coincidence. The thing that really matters on this monumental day in the life and times of , the thing that really matters on this, the 16th day of May, is that
I have posted 1,000 posts.
Truly a cause for celebration.
And so to celebrate, behold, my fellow Steemitlandians, here are 1,000 celebratory party flags:
1,000 celebratory party flags
If you’re wondering to yourself, “Where did take this fine photograph?”, well, here is your answer: Hope Pass, Colorado.
Also, if you’re thinking to yourself, “That does not look like 1,000 flags, for I can only see about 8 in the corner there,” well, there actually were 1,000 flags there, but I accidentally omitted about 992 of them, because apparently in my 1,000 years of life on planet Earth I still haven’t figured out how cameras work.
There was also a cake in the vicinity with 1,000 candles on it, but that’s not in the picture either. The cake and candles were meant to celebrate 1,000 posts and had nothing to do with my 1,000th birthday.
The only reason I’m celebrating this, the 16th day of May, is because
this is my 1,000th post on Steemit.
It has nothing to do with my 1,000th birthday. For that is merely a coincidence. I am now accepting your congratulatory 1,000% upvotes. Thank you. No flagging. No puns about flags. No throwing pies at me, you clowns. No swearing. No commenting on how old I look because you’d be fucking lying if you did that. Shut up. Go away. Thanks everyone, and here’s to me and my next 1,000 posts on Steemit.

Hello from the high Rockies of Colorado. My name is Brandt, pleased to meet you. I’m a marketing copywriter. I live in a little ghost town called Leadville. I am not a ghost and I am not old. If you like mountains, monumental days in the life and times of , jokes, hot diggity dogs, running, hiking, breathing, not working, etc., then you and I have a lot in common. Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day!
