It was going to happen. I am an entrepreneuer and having co-founded several companies, i was always thinking of a way to donate money to articles or people who post useful content on the web.
The internet is free, but i always had the feeling that the people who create the content have to be paid for their work, and that did only happen through google or other advertisements etc.
For example i am reading a frequent flyer blog every other day. There is so many deals, and i have potentially saved thousand of USD from using the deals over the year. Until now there was no way to reward that guy writing that awesome blog.
Steem valuation will grow another 1000%, i am sure about it. Here is the reason why:
Its the first really working micro payment solution. Its fast, easy everybody i explained it to understood the value of Steemit.
If people will be incentivised, i am sure there will be a new categorie of people, who will make a ton of money.
and yes, the internet needed this kind of platform, opportunity to grow even further and create even more great content.
I will write about internet, payment and food, the things i am passionate about, and maybe my next meal will be paid for by readers who like what i am contributing!
