Today I will tell you more about Suriname, this beautiful country in South America ! Ready or not, here I come !
Suriname is the only country in the world where a large synagogue and mosque are located directly next to each other in the capital, Paramaribo. Also where Jews and Muslims live in peace with each other. Two beautiful buildings stand side by side on the Keizerstreet in Paramaribo, Suriname. One is a mosque of the Ahmadiya movement, the other is a synagogue. The distance between the two buildings is no greater than sixty meters. A wall of only one and a half meters high forms the boundary.
