When the pandemics hit and we could no longer meet indoors, I joined some neighbors in a newly started ice bathing club. Every weekend we meet and swim in the sea, no matter the weather. We have no indoor place to change clothes so it can get really cold in the winter, but it quickly grew on me and now I enjoy it a lot. We have changed a bit between walking out from the beach and going down into the sea from a pier. Walking from the beach means you can slowly get used to the cold water, but it also means your feet get completely numb. From the pier it’s more of a chock. Here is the photo from yesterday’s swim. It was 12 deg C in the water and 7 on land. The sun is nice when it is out but it hardly warms up anymore.
