You headed south down the three-way intersection into a tunnel system that had some heavy core drilling going on every few feet. It seems they were in search of something in this tunnel. It went on for that for over a mile.

On occasion, there would be a small tunnel to go down. Most of them usually ended in less than 100 feet. One of these small tunnels even had what looked like a bunch of drill holes set up to place explosives into to continue going further in that direction.

Perhaps this tunnel was rather active up till this place shut down. You even found some heavily used tools on the ground. A few of them looked like they were used for measuring long distances as they shot out a laser that showed symbols in equal increments.

Another tool looked like it was used for cutting the timber beams that were being used to reinforce the walls. You took the sharp end and just gently put it up against a wooden bean almost sheered the thing in half. You quickly put that tool down not wanting to accidentally injure yourself.

After a little further exploring you hit a dead end. This time with a lot of drill holes and even what looked to be slits cut out of the cave wall itself. This must have been another section they were planning to expand on next.

You then headed back going north till you got back to the three-way intersection. This time you could go west or north.
