It was time to inspect that cave network and see if it was worth all this hassle to get to this moon let alone anything else you had done up to this point. With how large the cave system was it felt like you might be down there for several days.
While it was tempting to take the emergency shelter. Since it was a cave system you felt better off just taking a sleeping bag and lots of supplies with you. You just wanted to make sure you had enough food and water to last sometime down there. You know what you could find.
You also decided to take a longer flash lighting with you than the one the wristwatch you wear provides. You did not want to risk draining the full battery of the watch if it could be helped. Between the two you should have over two weeks’ worth of light. This you are hoping will not come down to being that long underground.
You went up to the ship to take a look at any final details you could. You wanted to know if it further mapped out the cave system. While it had some finer details they were not as much of areas as you had hoped. It seemed only a portion of the cave was shallow enough for the computer to get a decent reading on. That was unless there was something else interfering with the readings of the computer.
You headed out north down the trail that would take you to the giant cavern network. After a couple of turns in the trail you could see what looked like a giant rock face ahead of you. It was however not wide open like the mouth of the cave as you were expecting.
This you felt was quite odd as the computer made it seem like you could just walk right in. There was only one way to find out however and that was by getting closer. A few hundred steps later you had made it.
This is when you realized that cave had some sort of odd-looking door on it. It appears there was a slot to insert some sort of key into it.
(If you happen to have a dark blue ID card you can unlock the door and go inside. If you have not found that yet continue down this page).
You tried a few different things to get the door open. You even asked nicely. After pounding on the door, screaming at it, and some other very odd behavioral things you were unable to get it to bunch an inch. You had to admit defeat and take the short walk back home.
As you thought about it further. It appears what you need to get into that door must be some kind of ID card since there was a place to use one. It was also clear that such a thing was not going to be found at the giant cave network landing area. You would have to leave here and go elsewhere to find it.
You however decided to spend the rest of the day looking around this area. You were hoping you would find something. Anything to explain why that cave door was sealed shut let alone why that would even be required in the first place.
This just made you want to get into that cave even more. There had to be something worth all that extra effort of installing a door. Something to have made this entire journey here worthwhile. You however were not going to find out about it today.
You ended up making a campfire and cooking a food cube before calling it a night. You wanted to rise early in the morning and get to work on going east in the morning.
