In my home-not-cryptocurrency post on the vicissitudes of the bitcoin in the TV series "the Big Bang Theory" advised to see another Silicon valley. I am not going to comment on the entire series, but I want to draw attention to the last season in which the characters are cool programmers - forming a distributed cloud-based system running on a smartphone.
This idea is almost one to one in existence in draft form RightMesh, a review of which I offer:
Moreover, while the series code on the cell phones are not earned (for independent reasons), but it successfully launched itself in a network of connected smart refrigerators. And the concept of using IOT devices for mesh network is also perfectly consistent with the vision of RightMesh.
The philosophical idea of using smartphones to nodes of the mesh Network
The idea of using mobile smartphones to build a decentralized mesh network? in my opinion, very correct. Judge for yourself: modern smartphones are usually equipped with at least four separate communication modules: GSM/LTE for communication with the tower of the operator, Wi-Fi for high-speed network connection, Bluetooth for communication with local devices and NFC for contactless smart cards and payment systems. Plus, there is also exotic in the form of IR models for control of consumer electronics, but to build mesh networks infrared communication is probably not so relevant.
Secondly, smartphones are ubiquitous and almost everyone has them. Unlike other similar projects for creating cellular networks, such as in the case of Ammbr, there is no need to use specialized devices to build a RightMesh network. This significantly reduces the end-user logon threshold and increases the potential use of the technology. In addition, the use of cross-platform Java in the implementation of algorithms RightMesh gives hope that in the future in addition to user smartphones network will live including IOT devices that are increasingly present in our everyday life: smart tv, smart refrigerators, coffeemakers, etc.
Finally, the power of mobile devices is growing exponentially. And we can expect that in the near future, the resources of an ordinary smartphone will be enough to maintain a full-fledged node of the blockchain of the same Ethereum or its future analogue. And the mobile phone will act not only as a relay of mesh network signals, but also as a full-fledged nodes of the distributed blockchain.
A little about ICO RightMesh and plans for the future
Public sale of MESH tokens of the project will be held in two stages:
The presale stage from 15 to 28 February with a bonus of 20% for early investors.
The main selling tokens, if the pre-sale they will be sold completely. Details and terms of the main sale will be formulated on the basis of the presale.
A total of 38,850,000 MESH tokens are offered for sale at a nominal price of one us dollar.
In fact, it should be borne in mind that the company has already received $18 million in the zero stage of financing from private investors.
As a result, not all tokens are offered for public sale, but only 40% of them. Given the current interest in the project, I fully assume that all tokens will be sold within two weeks of the presale.
In any case, the developers already have enough money to implement their idea.
According to the RightMesh roadmap, a full implementation of the network Protocol and tokens, as well as a set of development tools for integrating independent applications with the RightMesh mesh network will be available in the second quarter of this year. A global implementation of the network is scheduled for the end of 2019.
In my opinion, if these plans are implemented in practice, a very interesting project may come out.
Although vangovat the future and to assess their ICO, I will not undertake I am just beginning to pump their expert skills, including on the platform of the Wings and expert platforms-type ICOBench. But that's a topic for a completely different article. And now I would like to discuss the project RightMesh specifically. What do you think about them?
