God or "All-seeing Eye "- is, in Orthodox iconography, a controversial symbol. As a picture, it can be encountered in different ways in the ancient pagan religions and by adoption we find it in the symbolism of some pseudo-Christian organizations, because ultimately, the frequency of its presence in the Christian cult no longer surprises anyone.
I've seen the illuminati syimbol in allmost every orthodox church i've been.
(I took this photos at a church from Mănăștiur, Timiș)
Although present in biblical texts, and in liturgical and patristic for almost two millennia, the plastic representation of the eye was not accepted as a symbol and in the Erminia of Orthodox iconography, the image being reproduced mimetically in cult with unresolved consequences.
