Illuminati started outside of Freemasonry but quickly by increased intersecting relations became a recognized Lodge and Order sharing the same 3 blue lodge degrees of Freemasonry, but with different higher degrees .
illuminati helped reform Freemasonry from the Strict Observance Rite to what it became known as Illuminated Freemasonry (The Strict Observance Rite doesn't even exist anymore).
different Freemasonry orders and rites have different higher degrees , though sharing the initial 3 blue lodge mason degrees. so they are all freemasons.
