I've done huge 12 illustrations calendar project for biggest mobile operator in Russia. Had been drawing for days and nights, spent 3 weeks without a rest sleeping maximum 4 hours per day sitting at home and drawing.
This big story is coming for the end. There are three more illustrations left here. Next post I will show the whole calendar with 12 illustrations and summarize the story.
Agency Sketch and Brief
This is a story about the friends who are making a home cinema party. They've met in a cozy flat, put their favorite heroes costumes, eating popcorn and watching a movie using projector. Spiderman sticked to the ceiling. Woman of Roger Rabbit is sitting on the bar. She is eating popcorn. Don't make her look sexy too much. There is a projector at the left of her and a pot to the right. Fruits are near. Background: cupboard. Joker is in the left corner. He is eating corn too. Sofa: Jack the Sparrow with a parrot on the shoulder eating corn. Marilyn Monroe, next is Dracula drinking red juice using plastic stick. Next John Snow with corn. Next white poodle dog (fake Direwolve). In the front there is a sword. Foreground: cat with fake ridge. It's a Lion King on this party. Hairy carpet.
Start
The task was fun but really hard for me. Second week was going to the end. I was tired but happy and still had some energy and motivation to continue this race.
I had to finish this in one working day. These guys had to be recognizable by the way. I've started sketching at 6 am and by 6:30 I've sent it. I thought office workers are sleeping so I've fall asleep too but woke up in 15 minutes. My telephone was ringing. They called me at 6:55 asking to correct the sketch.
I've added necessary corrections and started the rendering process. After two hours they've called me again yelling where is the picture? Show us what you've done! I've just calm down using deep breaths and kindly sent this.
Once I thought I've done they sent me new comments :)
Hurray! I've done! Yes, but few more comments...
Final
I guess we've finished that page by 10:45 p.m. and I've gone bathing and sleep. Cause I had to wake up at 4 to come back to my daily yoga practice, breakfast and work...
