The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance

Here's an illustration I made for an art show I was recently a part of, titled skekTek, from "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance."

The show is incredible. It's everything that the movie wasn't able to be, and I really hope they get a second season to further this amazing world that the Jim Henson studio has created. We definitely won't see another show involving puppets - with this kind of budget - ever again (at least from Netflix).

I started out with a few character concepts that felt true to the character, prior to any real stylization.

The second image was the basis for the more stylized version I ended up creating. It was really fun to explore this really disgusting and gruesome character and turn it into something that feels more cute and appealing.
