This is my fourth contribution to the photo challenge #Ilovenature on Whaleshares - today's theme is air.
Almost two years ago now, I travelled to Rome to celebrate my birthday with Victoria. I captured this photo during the outgoing flight from Edinburgh while flying over the alps. Though it's clearly freezing on those mountain tops, Rome was 16 degrees Celsius and sunny in the middle of December! We spent hours strolling the cobbled streets with gelato in hand, so difficult to believe that it was the middle of the winter!
