My hometown was founded on 8/07/1563 by FRANCISCO DE IBARRA.
Its official name is Victoria DE DURANGO the denomination of Victoria was in honor of GUADALUPE Victoria the first president of MEXICO originating in Tamazula Dgo.
Francisco Villa was born in 1878 in Durango in the town of San Juan del Rio one of the leaders of the Mexican Revolution, his performance was desisiva for the defeat of the regime of Victoriano Huerta.
