Hello fellow Hiveans, hope you're all doing well in the community. Yesterday in our office we celebrated on the eve of Independence day. We were already informed to come office by 7:00 AM to attend the Independence day celebrations. As usual we followed the orders issued by our head of the office and we were there around 7:00AM in the office. It took some time to start the celebrations as the scheduling is something is easy than done. At around 7:45AM the celebrations begin, our head of the office came to the parade ground and the flag hoisting began with Janaganamana adhinayaka jayahe national song. After the dispersion, our head of the office began with his speech on the importance of Independence day and how so many people has given their lives to give us the freedom from our enslavers. Then he spoke about our department works and how we can connect to people inspite our job is to protect forest and wildlife. Through ecotourism initiatives and some other technological advancements needs to be followed in order to achieve the success.
Then we had a appreciation certificate distribution to the people who worked hard in their allotted works and shows exemplary dedication towards the completion of the work in the protection of forest and wildlife. One by one had received appreciation certificates for their meritorious services even on the executive and ministrial staff had got those certificates. I would have uploaded the pictures, I don't think some people may be ok with it, hence I'm not uploading the pictures for the celebrations even though I wanted to. Independence day is a general holiday for us. Even though it's an holiday, government has made it mandatory to attend the independence day celebrations in the office, otherwise anyone who is caught not participating the celebration will be held responsible and can be issued charge sheets towards them. Even if the employee is not in the station, they need to any available station in entire state and take a selfie while celebrating for the sake of saying that they just attended the celebration. This also applies to Republic day and Martyrs day too.
Overall it was a good experience to share the celebration with our colleagues on the eve of independence day. Uniform services are called executive staff and those who are working in office are called ministerial staff. Our uniform staff work is to execute plating works, raising and maintaining of nurseries and protection of forest and wildlife and forest produce and areas from encroachments. After the event was over, breakfast was arranged there itself and some ate there and some gone out due to some work or they simply don't like to eat outside.
