What does Nature and the Earth mean to you?

Is it just a place where you live and that you believe it will always be around no matter What!!!
Nature's beauty is getting smaller and smaller every day due to various reasons. But one thing I do know is that it is a vital part of the survival of lots of creatures that are here on this Earth.
I see huge forests cut down in my area to make way for housing developments with little regard to the animals that live there. Most don't even give it a second thought but if you think about it, we need nature to produce oxygen so that we can breath. It will be quite a few years before everyone realizes how much we actually depend on nature.
I am a very big supporter of Nature Conservation. I also support the Arbor Day Foundation which raise money to keep nature intact so that it's beauty can be enjoyed not only by humans but also by all of the creatures (Great and Small) that call it home.
This is a card that I received that raises funds to plant new trees in one of America's Forests. So many of the forests have been burned by fires or were destroyed or damaged by other disasters man made or caused by nature like lightning strikes.
