Gulbarga: Helmets compulsory from 24 November
The city police are all set to make helmets mandatory in Gulbarga/Kalaburagi citizens from 24 November.
The Inspector General of Police, North East Karnataka Range told the public at an awareness program organized by the city police that following road rules in must to prevent road accidents.
He also showed pictures of road accidents to deliver his message. Bike riders in the Gulbarga/Kalaburagi city will have to wear helmets, and those driving cars must always strap their seat belts.
It is interesting to be noted that since the last several years the city police has been trying to make helmets compulsory.
The public complains that it is not possible to wear helmets in the hot climate of Gulbarga/Kalaburagi.
The temperature reaches a high of 45-degree Celsius during summers, the helmet rule is always relaxed during the summer season.
