New cases of corona virus in Maharashtra have been put under a week's lockdown in Amaravati district. The Maharashtra government announced this week's lockdown on Sunday. News agency ANI quoted Maharashtra minister yashomte Thakur as saying that the full lockdown will continue for a week from 8 pm on Monday night except for Achalpur town in Amaravati. However, essential services will continue during this time.
New cases of corona virus have been reported in Maharashtra's Amaravati. There were 806 new cases of the corona virus on Saturday in Amaravati, which was second to Mumbai. There were 897 new cases of the corona virus in Mumbai on Saturday. The Akola division, which includes Amravati district and Amravati Municipal Corporation, said a total of 1726 new cases were reported on Saturday and 12 people were killed.
On February 16, 82 cases were reported in Amaravati, while a day later, on February 17, the number of new patients reached 230. The decision was followed by a decision to put the district into lockdown from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday.
Speaking about the vikendi lockdown decision, Amaravati collector Shailesh naval had said that in the wake of an increase in Kovid-19 cases, I have decided to impose a lockdown in the district over the weekend. I appeal to people to follow appropriate behaviour in order to avoid any future strict lockdown.
