It is called Hariyali Amavasya. This time the greener Amavasya is on Thursday 1st August 2019 . Hariyali Amavasya is special in many ways. Nature worship is also done on this. There is also a special veneration method of the new moon which is in Sawan. In This days special worships called Pitri tarpan( Showing respects and dereliction towards ancestor soul) is also done on this day. It gives peace to the ancestors' soul. It is believed that after worshiping Lord Shiva on the day of Shravan Amavasya, prosperity also comes with happiness and peace in the house. Many people also keep fasting for the new moon of Savannah. After taking bath in the morning, the vow of the fast is taken. After this, after taking food in the evening, the fast is broken.
It is believed that those who fast on the new moon of Shravan month receive wealth and glory. On this day after bathing in holy rivers, Brahminas, poor people and devotees are given as well as donation-Dakshina.
