Jio giga fibre has been announced. It is coming in 1100 cities in India and registrations will begin from 15th August. It is a Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) broadband service. It will also work on TVs with the help of GigaTV set-top boxes and smart home devices. Those with GigaTV can make phone calls to other TVs, phones and tablets on Jio GigaFiber networks.
Jio Smart Home Accessories suite is also launch along with JIO giga fibre. These are designed to let users control and monitor their homes remotely using their smartphones from anywhere and everywhere. Users can control and monitor temperature, lighting, electrical appliances, gas and water leakage, motion detection, and opening and closing of doors and windows.

Jio has also announced that from 15th August both WhatsApp and YouTube will be available for download via the Jio App Store.
JIO has also launched the Jio Phone 2 at a price of Rs. 2,999, but existing Jio Phone users can get it for just Rs. 501 in an exchange offer. The phone has a QWERTY keypad.
