The nation is remembering the entire country martyrs today on the occasion of the anniversary of war with Pakistan in 1971. On this occasion, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman paid tribute to the martyrs of Amar Jawan Jyoti in New Delhi. During this, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat, Naval Chief Sunil Lamba and Chief of Air Force Birendra Singh Dhanoa were also present.
Congress remembered the martyrs by tweeting with their official Twitter handle. The party tweeted, "On Vijay Diwas, we salute the brave soldiers of the Indian Army and remember the victory of the soldiers who constantly fight on the borders for the liberation of Bangladesh.
Minister of State for Defense VK Singh also tweeted the tribute to 1971's martyrs. VK Singh tweeted, "Come, pay homage to all those who participated in the 1971 war, resulting in Bangladesh's independence." My salute to all heroes and martyrs.
