Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli registered his 36th ODI Hundred in the first ODI against West Indies at ACA Cricket Stadium, Barsapara in Guwahati, Sunday, Oct 21, 2018.
Virat Kohli loves chasing and he's proved that over and over again. He always scores well for his side while chasing a big total on the board and it was no exception the other day as well. India won the toss and opted to bowl. West Indies might not have thought the start the way it should be. They lost a couple of wickets at a quick succession in between 14th and 22nd overs. But, it was Shimron Hetmyer's day and maybe it was pre-written. He stood tall and made his innings and his side and helped his team reach the total of 320+ in 50 overs.
West Indies finally concluded their innings at 322 for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. In reply, India got the first blow when Shikhar Dhawan was bowled out by Oshane Thomas when he was batting at mere 4 runs and the team total was 10 on the board. Then, Virat Kohli came into the crease and built a solid 246 partnership with Rohit Sharma and at the doorstep of winning the match unbeaten he got out at his personal score of 140 (107) and he was also declared "Player Of the Match". India chased down the target of 323 in just 42.1 overs with 8 wickets in hand. Thus, India won the match by 8 wickets
