A few days back our Indian Finance minister gave the budget announcement. I don't usually pay attention to these things but I noticed that it is important to stay up to date with all the budget related things because it directly or indirectly affects every individual. In the recent few years this has started becoming interesting for me. I pay attention to what comes out of the budget planning. I also commend the efforts of this current government because their budget proposals are valid and reasonable. Politics is dangerous and we are able to see some governments doing it in our country too. As part of budget allocation we see a lots of free gifts given to the people. For the consumers it is good. As an individual I will feel very happy to get some free perks. But globally if we look at this, the government is getting a loan to provide this perk or benefit to the people and that ultimately affects the inflation and sits on top of the individual as taxes or other ways. The government has announced a Tax holiday for data centres started in India by the foreign companies. Keeping India as one of the data centers is a great thing and this will also increase the opportunity for India globally. The most interesting part in this announcement is that we get a tax holiday until 2047 for any company establishing their data centers in India. I understand this intention. The main reason is because it ultimately is going to be available cheap or for a reasonable cost to Indians. On the other side government is appreciating semiconductor projects in India. If more people start producing semiconductor projects in India, it will create a huge demand and these semiconductors also play a major role in the server components as well. In order to setup a data center, people need a lot of semiconductor stuff to be purchased and used. So two birds in one stone. But as an individual and a potential enterpreneur in the future, I see this as a great opportunity.
