Flashback incident 1 :
When I was 12 or 13 I got a call from my Chithi (mom’s sister) and she wanted to talk to my mom. After they finished talking mom called me and told
Mom : Me and dad are going to a function of your cousin
Me : Oh ok, what function?
Mom : Krithika is a big girl now so they have held a function to celebrate.
Me : (Curiously) was she a small girl till yesterday? why do you suddenly call her a big girl now?
Mom : Once a girl reaches a certain height, they are big girls (really mom?)

Flashback incident 2 :
I must have been 15 (can’t remember correctly). My sister was telling my mom she can’t join us to the temple
Sis : Mom I can’t come to the temple today
Mom : Ok
Me : Why not?
Mom : (Interrupting before my sis could even let air out) Your sister has a high fever that’s why.
Me : oh ok.
