Spider-Man: Homecoming is a 2017 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. The plot of the film centers around Peter Parker, a high school student who was bitten by a radioactive spider and given superpowers in the previous MCU film, Captain America: Civil War. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Parker is struggling to balance his life as a superhero with his everyday responsibilities as a teenager. He is mentored by Tony Stark / Iron Man, who helps him develop his powers and provides him with a high-tech suit.
Meanwhile, the villainous Vulture, played by Michael Keaton, emerges as a threat to the city. Vulture, whose real name is Adrian Toomes, is a former contractor who has turned to a life of crime after his company was shut down by the government following the events of The Avengers. He has developed advanced weapons using alien technology, and is determined to take revenge on those he believes have wronged him.
The film explores the themes of responsibility, growing up, and the consequences of power. The character development of both Peter Parker and Adrian Toomes is central to the plot, as they are forced to confront their beliefs and the impact of their actions on those around them. The special effects and action sequences in the film are impressive, and the inclusion of Iron Man and other MCU characters adds to the film's wider universe-building.
