Anoa is a typical animal of Sulawesi Island that can be found, especially in Southeast Sulawesi province. The animals include Asiatic and Australis transitional animals. Animals that are classified as endangered animals have been on the verge of extinction since 1960.
Even in the last 10 years Anoa population has decreased significantly. Predicted now the number of Anoa less than 5000 tail in the wild. The threat of extinction is inseparable from the activities of people who often hunt them.
Usually humans hunted this rare animal to take the skin of horns and meat. In general there are two species of these animals, namely lowland anoa and mountain anoa.
