This gardens land was originally bought by a VP at Sears in the early 1950s. This person was a plant lover and collected many kinds of plants. He would place them in this garden and over time he was unable to care for the land. So he donated it to the county and now its a public park for all that want to visit.
There were a few trails we walked, and explored the area. Some were wooded and others walked you along the water side. There was a curious squirrel, large trees and some great lake views. We were the only ones there that day, so we got the place to ourselves.
I did some photography in the area as well, you can find it here: https://steemit.com/photography/@solominer/infrared-photography-walking-through-hamilton-gardens
