The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams. - Oprah Winfrey
World traveling is becoming quite famous nowadays. More and more people discover their passion for going on adventures and literally broaden their horizons in foreign countries and cultures.
What sometimes starts with the idea of going on a short trip to clear one's mind and hit the own reset button, often ends up as a neverending journey, converting a supposedly short adventure into the actual purpose of life.
Today I watched a documentary about 'Australia's most famous surfers family' who are a great example of the importance to live one's dreams. A stroke of fate inspired them to go on a vacation they never returned from.
Here's to the importance of dreams in our lives!

Living the dream
Sunday's are great days to watch inspiring documentaries about inspiring people.
Today I accidentally stumbled upon 'The Coffey's'. Their story made my heart skip which is why I considered sharing it with you.
The Coffey's are an Australian family who decided to change their life fourteen years ago when their mother had a heavy skateboard accident from which she hardly recovered after one year.
That stroke of fate made the family's father Jason Coffey consider a break. So they took a camper van and went on vacation.
What was supposed to be a one-years-trip along the Western Australian coast then, ended up being their purpose of life.

The five Coffey siblings are all sponsored surfers and a few have even gone pro
They've converted their dream into a successful business.
Father Jason Coffey being asked about what advice he gave his kids for life said:
I told them to find out what they wanted to do in life and then just do this.
Now one might believe that this is easier said than done. But actually it's all about investing our time into what really matters. While the seven of them were traveling along the Western Australian coast, camping close to the Ocean especially the girls become better and better at surfing.
Since they had plenty of time to follow their passion, practice surfing on a daily basis and even started to live some healthy competition among each other, they're now on their way to become world champions in surfing.
Today the oldest sisters Holly Sue and Ellie-Jean are professional surfers who exercise at least six hours daily.

They've become real surf influencers!
Among them the Coffey kids have over a million Instagram followers.
Over time they've learned how to perfectly capitalize their extraordinary lifestyle.
Being asked how she deals with the fact that some fans not only admire her surf skills but especially follow her for being a pretty girl, the oldest of the sisters Ellie-Jean replies:
Just think about the beautiful former tennis player Ana Kournikova. She's very pretty but besides that she was also a world leading athlete. When a woman's extraordinarily beautiful and also successful in sports, people often get confused.
Nice answer and so very true!
Last year the Coffey's launched their own YouTube channel. Maybe we can convince them to check out
and monetize their content here, too :-)
The sisters Ellie and Holly in their first YouTube video which generated 133K views so far: competition is part of their general understanding - very refreshing!
Congratulations Jason Coffey, for educating your kids to follow their dreams and to become self-confident, determined and kind little personalities!
I think we should all have some 'Coffey-spirit' in our lives...
Best, Marly -
