As far as I am aware, Tommy is the biggest celebrity EVER to join Steem and actively post.
He has millions of followers in the UK and around the world.
He hand delivered over 250,000 signatures to 10 Downing Street in the Soldier X campaign (to stop the persecution of British soldiers that took selfies with him).
Before his Facebook page was banned, it had more followers than the UK Labour party!
Tommy has been censored by the mainstream media and tech giants and persecuted by the UK establishment for trying to have an open discussion about the role and influence of Islam in western societies.
You may not agree with his views, but freedom and democracy require open exchange of political viewpoints.
The mass censorship of alternate voices on the right, and also the left, is anathema to a healthy society.
Steem welcomes Tommy and all the other refugees from the conformist censorship of the big tech companies and mainstream media.

Steem, as a censorship resistant and self regulating platform, is not a free for all for hate speech. That is important to me as a Jew.
It is a place where alternative viewpoints can be exchanged and debated with the respect that arises from the knowledge that there is real money involved and bad behaviour which damages the platform will be punished financially and attentionally by collective action.
But where there is no outright censorship - content is always available for direct viewing on the blockchain and there are a large number of front ends to view content, with different policies.
