The first fatality of Coronavirus aka Covid 19 was confirmed yesterday in Syria of a lady with accelerated symptoms.
The lady died as she reached the ER of the hospital, a special test was conducted and returned positive with Covid 19, the Syrian Ministry of Health reported without adding further details on the lady or which hospital.
Four more cases tested positive and were put into quarantine centers, the ministry added in a statement late last night, bringing the total infected to 9 plus the 10th who died.
Syria was spared most of the epidemic's onslaught due to the blockade imposed on the country for the past 9 years. The US and its cronies wanted to punish the Syrian people for not accepting to surrender and having a puppet regime steal their independence, this somehow helped the country skip the pandemic's spreading by traveling.
