The EU is now offering 3 million Euros to European nations who can round up the maximum of 500 migrants. At €6,000/head this would seem to make the deal very lucrative, especially if the holding centers that these “migrants” will be placed in are not in their country. It is not uncommon for a single boatload of illegal future asylum seekers to be in excess of 500 units of this apparent new commodity.
Italy Remains Defiant
What appears at first glance to be a either a ruthless or desperate step by the EU is potentially just the next counter-move in Brussels’ strategy to bring Italy's new Populist government in line. The problem for the EU, however, is that Italy has already said, "no." Italy's Interior Minister – who very much appears to have taken the reins of political leadership in the embattled nation – rebuffed Brussels’ offer stating, "If they want to give money to someone else let them do so, Italy doesn't need charity."
However this move could have catastrophic effects, as NGOs and human traffickers are tasked with driving even more un-vetted, unskilled and under-educated so-called "migrants" – who do not meet the requirements for legitimate asylum – toward Europe’s already saturated shores. There could be increased competition between countries, mercenary-like head-hunting round-ups and a significant increase in the average ship-loads of human cargo. And, this will undoubtedly stretch the dangerously-thin resources of overburdened countries, like Italy and Greece, even more. The already-rising death-toll could reach numbers even the greedy globalist paymasters of the new slave trade won't have the stomach for.
Not to mention that, although the contract seems financially lucrative in the short-term, it is only a fraction of the total enormous costs of taking in asylum seekers. Also worrying is the fact that the typical wait time for asylum claims is one to two years. The EU may want some leniency on regulations, reducing qualifications so that more illegal entrants are able to slip past the already-loosened minimum national and international asylum requirements. Some of the costs inucurred in the asylum process are housing, security (guards), legal fees, transportation, education, traslators - and perhaps the most expensive of all - the exponential costs associated with much higher birth rates. Not all of these factors are figured into the final statistics supplied by the EU and UN.
But, more important than any of the colossal negative economic hardships on the taxpaying citizens of new host-countries, is the societal hardships. The clash of cultures caused by endless streams of ideologically opposite people and the complete lack of time given to new citizens to assimilate, result in racial tension, skyrocketing crime rates, housing shortages, and the destruction of long-established societal norms. These factors have proven repeatedly to have devastating and irreversible effects on European society.
We'll be watching this situation closely and will update when more information becomes available.
