When your own navy vessels bring in the invaders, your country needs rescuing
UPDATE: Rescued illegals came from "smugglers boat."

The Italian Coast Guard vessel, Diciotti has been permitted to dock at Catania in Siciliy. Yet, those onboard will spend their 5th night sleeping aboard the vessel. Until the EU meets the conditions to equitably distribute the passengers, which are typical of past sharing agreements, nobody may disembark the ship.
From Twitter (translated by Yandex) earlier today:
The EU is composed of 27 Countries, not just Italy. After months of rumors, we expect that also in Brussels, steps from words to facts, otherwise we will be forced to lift back the persons retrieved at sea to a port in the libyan. Am I wrong?Judging from this survey, I don't know😁
--- Matteo Salvini, Italy’s Interior Minister
The study on Matteo Salvini's Twitter Account shows the magnitude of national support for his handling of the matter.
Migrants on board the vessel diciotti. Salvini: the Eu has to intervene or we give them in libya. Position that you share?
No? 19%
Yes? 81%

We may come to find out that the reason for the lengthy delay is difficulty in dealing with the overwhelming response of countries competing for the honor of hosting the latest batch doctors, scientists and engineers. A long and complicated game of rock-paper-scissors is surely being played out on Skype as we speak.
Salvini also reminded the EU leaders and member states that Italy has received a staggering 700 thousand people in recent years. Still no details of the origin of the passengers, where they sailed from, or what NGO ship provided the mode of transportation before the passengers were "rescued" by the Italian Coast Guard. Interestingly, the Prosecutor's office in Agrigento is said to be opening an investigation into the matter. Bon fortuna!
The lack of these details is one of the first signs that Salvini is being held back by someone more powerful than himself. Something isn't quite right with this story. In fact it's downright fishy. Don't worry, though - the EU is working on finding those new host countries to accept these brave survivors. Did you know that approximately 90 % of asylum claims in Italy from these "rescue" operations are denied? If you're interested, you'll be pointed to the source. Sadly this story failed to deliver the ending many were keen to see. Dont deny it - you know you were hoping for some joyful repatriations! There, you're happy again, right?
