"They are all illegal immigrants on the Diciotti," declared Italy's Interior Minister, early today. Matteo Salvini's carefully chosen words, as usual, cut like a gladius and had the effect of leaving the enemy frantic over the severity of the next strike. Like a thrust to the heart, Salvini revealed that Italy will be transitioning to an immigration policy similar to Australia's No Way policy, which heralded the death knell of the the country's longstanding mass illegal seaborne invasion, ending it swiftly and effectively. It even solved the problem of increased drowning deaths exacerbated by all the virtue-signalling NGO parasites encouraging the illegal activity so they can enjoy the steady drip-drip of their dopamine reward systems - the social-media perma-buzz.
The announcement to transition more fully to the Australian system by Interior Minister Salvini of Italy is a direct result of inaction by the unelected EU bureaucrats. "Italy is no longer Europe's refugee camp," Salvini also remarked.

Also see yesterday's post for insight on this international saga:
There is international, as well as case-law, to support immigration detention. The Australian system worked tremendously well in eliminating the Aussies' massive seaborne people-smuggling problem. Detention centers were set up on islands outside of Australia. Illegal migrants were free to hang out on the islands - without many of the 1st-world ammenities that the mainland provided - as their claims were processed. They were also free to return home at any time. Potentially facing years in these camps, unable to take advantage of the unique Western generosity, which has been abused by so many for so long, many did just that.
From Wikipedia.com:
The Government of Australia has a policy and practice of detaining in immigration detention facilities non-citizens not holding a valid visa, suspected of visa violations, illegal entry or unauthorised arrival, and those subject to deportation and removal in immigration detention until a decision is made by the immigration authorities to grant a visa and release them into the community, or to repatriate them to their country of departure. Persons in immigration detention may at any time opt to voluntarily leave Australia for their country of origin, or they may be deported or given a bridging or temporary visa.
The High Court of Australia has confirmed, by majority, the constitutionality of indefinite mandatory detention of aliens. In its present form, the policy is credited with halting the seaborne people-smuggling trade to Australia and the thousands of death[s] associated with it.

There are, of course, those who consider Italy's populist government's solutions to be too radical. Solutions proven to work are criticized while the failed short-sighted policies of the "progressives" are re-packaged and peddled to the public through the MSM-bloc as real solutions. European Parliament President, Antonio Tajani, would end stand-offs with yet another reform to the massive stack of reforms to the original Dublin Accord. If you happen to belong to the The Visegrad Group - the largest collective threat (and growing) to the EU collective - it's enforced resettlement quotas for you. Time to break up that happy ethnostate party. Time to be rid of your low crime, increasing birth rates, and hideous pride in your cultural identity. Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary - the milky-white center of Europe needs some colour or they'll be sanctioned. Only in the sociopathic minds of Marxists and Communists can you come up with the fairy-tale math which allows you to remove problems by adding greater problems. What happens when you insert people into a culture that don't assimilate, yet they have triple the birth rates of the native population? That is progressive math.
Taiani would have made the problem disappear by sending them into the hinterlands of Central Europe. How well did that turn out for Minnesota? Progressive prosecutors are also threatening to charge Italy's Salvini with abduction for keeping the illegal immigrants on the Coast Guard ship. They look like such pleasant young men. Why don't the NGOs and media offer to accept them into their homes? Oh wait, is that progressive math?
Nazi Death-Camp Diciotti
In a show of humanitarian compassion, Italy did release the “children,” or unaccompanied minors to the NGOs, who couldn't help themselves to a Nazi concentration-camp word-association. These quotes prompted the addition of a comedy tag for this article: "We picked up 27 skeletons," and, "The skinniest weighed 30 kilos," rescuers apparently said of the children. No age was given. That is some rapid weight loss plan, since Italy has only had them for less than a week. What's even more amazing about these starving little grippers is that they managed to make it through the so-called war-zone in Libya, unaccompanied. And, how is it that this group were released into the care of migrant smugglers or traffickers after leaving Libyan detention centers? Aren’t those designed to encourage repatriation back to their origin countries? If they're not detaining them for the purpose of repatriation, then they're helping them on their journey. It's one or the other - think about that.
Of the scant details that were let out, maybe not purposefully, by the NGOs, there is a HUGE story coming, that has been Investigating for months. Count on it.
