Yes we all leave them, though making it easy for you to be found when the enemy has all the resources in the world makes little sense. I never got it, the whole facebook thing, putting our names online, where we were, who we were meeting, even when some people fart!.....
I had one friend on farcebook that even did the location thing whilst at Manchester airport, as he announced him and his tribe going on holiday, he came back to a half empty house, and all his prized belongings gone, he then had to spend £10,000.00 on a security system he could remote view by phone, just so he could go on holiday again, and even had to show it in use on the same platform, silly is as best it can be described.
I know another person, a lady who was sacked from her job for criticizing her brewery online, she did not do it directly, she just stated to her friends she was over worked, and had no time, plus said the Bar she worked in was under staffed - it had one less member the next day!.....
I know another guy who was tracked down by a company that deals in bad debt, he had a car he missed a few payments on due to losing his job, they tracked him down via twitter.
If you are going to use your real name online, your car number plate, and photos of you, your family and even your children, you have lost privacy, any of us/you. You can point to the fact some of my motorbike number plates on here are showing, you can also count on the fact not a single one is registered or insured in my name, as I simply do not exist, my trail ended at Calais, the last time I had to show one of them passport things, that is long since gone.
Google!
I have heard some respected members on here saying they do not care that google sells their surfing habits, and I find that disturbing to say the least, privacy is why we have curtains, and doors, unless of course you simply do not care who sees you on the toilet, or on top of your girl. Another disturbing trend is people saying "way tooooooo much" about their private lives, like sucking one's self off, "JB" and for those of you that missed that show well done, I am going into that no further.
To take back control requires a modicum of self respect, as there are cameras pointed at people everywhere in the west, in the UK you walk outside and "big brother" is watching you, so no need to do the same online.
Farcebook did highlight one thing at least!
In the EU now you get notified when you visit any site, no matter which one it is, and it shows you what they are taking from you regarding information, we can thank Cambridge Analytica for this one.
