President Trump on Friday declared the Russia investigation “MUST END NOW” after congressional Republicans released a report saying his campaign did not collude with Moscow to influence the 2016 presidential election.

Trump’s message came just minutes after Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee released their final report on Russia’s influence operations in the 2016 election.

It found “no evidence that the Trump campaign colluded, coordinated, or conspired with the Russian government.” But the report does criticize the Trump and Hillary Clinton campaigns for “poor judgment and ill-considered actions” in their dealings with Russia-related figures.

Democrats on the Intelligence panel refused to endorse the report, calling the committee's investigation a sham that was biased in favor of Trump.

It looks like time is running out for Mueller's investigation. I think this decision by Congress will pave the way for Trump to fire Mueller. It would be nice if Attorney General Sessions stepped in and ended the investigation but he appears to be not willing to defend the President so I think Trump will have to fire Mueller himself. This report now gives Trump a third party reason to fire him other than his own personal ones.

So I would expect Mueller to be gone very soon maybe even by this weekend. Of course this could be another 4D chess move by the President to get the democrats to react to his tweet and do something stupid like charging Flynn with some phony charges of lying to the FBI when Mueller was struggling to find evidence of criminal wrong doing the Trump campaign. Watch the charges against Flynn quietly be dropped after Mueller is gone.

New judge taking look at evidence in Flynn case

Flynn pleaded guilty late last year to one count of lying to the FBI, even though former FBI Director James Comey stated the agents who interviewed Flynn did not believe he was lying about a conversation with former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in December 2016.

However, the judge who was presiding over the case, Rudolph Contreras, suddenly was removed, and the new judge, Emmet Sullivan, ordered the material delivered from Mueller to Flynn’s lawyers and the court.

Sullivan had said: “The government is further directed to produce all discoverable evidence in a readily usable form. For example, the government must produce documents as they are kept in the usual course of business or must organize and label them clearly.”

Carter wrote that the “implications that possible exculpatory evidence was withheld by Mueller’s office would be a significant development for Flynn.”
