Who doesn't remember as a young amoeba first crossing the temple threshold at third dusk and approaching the squirming receptacle of tentacles and limbs, protoplasm tingling, wondering what configuration awaits? I wanted to invoke that sense of anticipation here with a sketch of a first molt blob attaching its maiden limbs and eyeballs. You only get to build your first form once, after all!
#inktober day 5 prompt "build". Yeah I know I didn't post a day 4 "frozen" image yet, that one is in the works but I foolishly decided to tackle a full page cross-hatch composition for day 4 and it is going to take me a bit longer to finish that one. It is coming though :)
I completely neglected to take process pictures on this sketch, so to make it up for you here is the old "selfie with art and a great white shark" routine :) My smiling face has to be worth at least a few process pictures, right?
You can see I wised up here and started this sketch on a 1/4 page size

Remember folks, its not the number of tentacles, its how you wiggle them :) Stay weird Steem!
