Good morning from this time zone.
Be the change you want to be. Yesterday, on my way back from work, I was listening to a radio programme and the broadcaster made a statement. She said
What would the world look like everyone behaved just like you.
It wasn't the first time I was hearing this statement or something related to it. But it actually made a lot of meaning hearing it again.
In Nigeria for example, you hear a lot of people complaining about how bad the leaders are, how insensitive the government is to the plight of its people, bla bla bla. It's funny to know that this same people who complain on a daily basis break traffic laws, dump refuse in the wrong place, and even engage in other forms of illegalities.
Back to the question;
How would the world be like if everyone behave just like me?
This is a question that needs to be thought about. If your just like me who has a o lot of imperfections, get to work, make deliberate efforts to be a better person, and so on.
Change starts with me.
We may not all become political office holders, or celebrities in whatever career we find ourselves. But we can all make a difference in our society by becoming the change we want to see.
Remember little drops of water makes an ocean. Do your part and leave the rest
Thanks for reading. I am still your humble, proudly Nigerian boy
