Happy Canada Day My Esteemed Followers!
Here in Canada we have a debit system called Interac, they also have an email money transfer service that is widely utilized to shuttle fiat currency around the economy. That system has been down for a day or so now. I and many others pay some large recurring monthly bills with Interac Email Money transfer. My landlord is cool with it because we've never been late but I can't help but wonder how many people are going to be in a financial jam because of a failure in the financial infrastructure?
It's times like this I'm glad I took the plunge here on Steemit and got to learning about cryptocurrencies and how they are the next generation game changing form of wealth storage. Then again, with Poloniex shitting the proverbial bed in regards to Steem transactions for how long now I guess nothing is perfect...
