As a father of 4 wonderful children I am well diversified in the ways of handling issues my children experience, invent, and observe.
Often my youngest asks "daddy why do you forget", as I begin to think up excuses we are interrupted by 1 of his sisters screaming about a wordrobe issue that has come up, the dog begins barking at nothing, and my wife calls out "honey". I look into his innocent eyes and tell him I will try to do better.
This reminds me to never over commit and always do what you say you will do. No one cares why you didn't fulfill your commitment.
