Hi!
The Women's Day celebrates the memory of suffragettes striving for women's equal rights, equal treatment at work and the same payment for equal work done. For the first time the Women's Day was celebrated in the land of the purest capitalism, the United States. The Americans began to celebrate before the First World War in 1909. Two years later, the custom came to Europe, first to Austria and Denmark, then to Germany and Switzerland. In Poland, the feast of women was noticed until after the Second World War. In most countries, it is celebrated on March 8, although there are exceptions. In Poland, ladies usually receive sweets and flowers as a gift. They dominate above all red carnations, tulips and red roses. However, in other countries, for example in Italy, women receive twigs of silver acacia.
See you soon! :)
